We have great news for our Clients, especially the ones residing abroad. Many times we have struggled to explain to company owners why our legislator insisted that the shareholders’ meetings in Polish companies need to be held strictly within the territory of Poland. For obvious reasons this caused a lot of practical difficulties. Although, the provision including the above requirement remains the same, the upcoming changes to the Polish Commercial Companies Code have finally provided us with a way to remedy this difficulty. As of 3rd September 2019 it will be finally possible to attend the shareholder’s meeting via electronic communication methods. Therefore, after a quick change in your company’s statutes, at last you will be able to benefit from the great inventions of the twenty first century such as Skype and no longer be required to travel whenever you wish to adopt resolutions in your Polish subsidiaries. We truly celebrate this humble but much needed change.
